The figures we can put in writing, what each includes, and the promise that the quote you approve is the price you pay. Everything else is quoted by registration, free, before any work.
We publish the prices we can stand behind for every car and quote the rest by registration, because a "from" figure on a clutch or a cambelt would be right for one engine and wrong for the next. These are the fixed points: tyres from £40, servicing from £90, an air con regas from £50, brake pads from around £60 per axle, and the MOT, which we arrange at a DVSA-approved centre, at no more than the legal maximum of £54.85 for a car. Tyres
- Tyres from £40. The starting price for a new tyre supplied and fitted at Ber Street in the common sizes. Budget, mid-range and premium options are quoted with the EU label for each; see what decides a tyre price and the brands we supply.
- Puncture repairs, wheel balancing, wheel alignment, locking wheel nut removal and part worn tyres: quoted by phone from the size or registration.
Servicing and MOT
- Servicing from £90. The starting price for a service at Ber Street; interim, full and major services are quoted to your car's own manufacturer schedule by registration, with the correct oil grade and OEM-quality parts.
- MOT: no more than £54.85 for a car (class 4), the maximum set by the DVSA. We arrange the test at a DVSA-approved centre, carry out the pre-MOT check and any repairs in our own workshop, and handle the retest. See MOT Norwich and how MOT pricing works.
- Oil changes, brake fluid changes, vehicle health checks, van and hybrid servicing: quoted by registration.
Repairs, Brakes and Air Con
- Air con regas from £50. Includes a leak check; see air con regas.

What if the job costs more than quoted?
We stop and call you. Nothing is added to the bill without your approval.
Why is there no price for a clutch or a cambelt?
Because the part and the labour time differ so much between engines that a single figure would mislead. We quote by registration, free, and the cost guides explain what drives the price.
