If a tyre cannot be safely repaired we will say so and show you why, rather than patching something that will fail later. We stock budget through to premium brands and can usually fit a replacement the same day. Where a replacement is the only safe option, we will also check whether the tyre on the opposite side needs matching.
A tyre that needs topping up every couple of weeks usually has a small object embedded in the tread, a corroded or faulty valve, or a poor seal between the tyre and the rim. All three are straightforward to find once the wheel is off and the tyre is submerged, and all three are worth fixing early - running persistently under-inflated ruins the tyre edges and costs you fuel.

The sidewall flexes constantly as the tyre rotates and carries the vehicle's load. A repair there cannot be relied on to hold, so British Standard BS AU 159 does not permit it. Damage in that area means the tyre must be replaced.
