Riken Tyres Norwich
A Michelin group value brand made in Europe. Supplied to order and fitted at our Ber Street garage, seven days a week.
Riken is a value brand within the Michelin group, made in Serbia and Poland, and one of the better-pedigreed budget options available in the UK. Riken comes in to order, usually next working day, and goes on at Ber Street with the same care as any premium tyre.
The Riken Range, and Who It Suits
Road Performance is the car summer tyre, UHP the performance line, All Season the snowflake-marked all-season, Snow the winter tyre and Cargo the van range. Riken shares plants and some construction with Michelin's other value brands, Kormoran and Tigar.
For an older car where the budget is tight but you want a known group behind the tyre, Riken is a reasonable answer.
Riken is the least-known of Michelin's three European value brands and the one we fit least, mainly because Kormoran is more widely stocked. When it is available in your size it is the same proposition: a budget-priced tyre from a group that does not cut corners on construction. A sensible choice for an older car whose owner wants a name behind the tyre.

What You Get at This Price
A Riken is a Michelin-group product at the bottom of the group's price ladder, and that pedigree shows more in consistency and construction than in headline grip. Compare its EU label with Kormoran's and a mid-range tyre's in your size; we will lay them out for you. Not sure what is on the car now? Read us the sidewall over the phone or give us the registration and we will check.

Popular Riken Sizes
If your car is on one of these sizes, Riken is almost certainly available in it. Each links to a guide to that size:
Riken and the EU Tyre Label
Every tyre sold in the UK, Riken included, carries an EU label grading wet grip, rolling resistance and noise, and at the budget end those grades vary more between patterns than between brands. That is why we quote the exact pattern, show you its label, and put a mid-range tyre next to it: the wet-grip column is the one that decides your stopping distance on a wet roundabout.
How Riken Fitting Works Here

Or the registration. We quote premium to budget with the EU label for each.
Fitted the same day
New valve, computer balanced, torqued by hand, old tyre disposed of.
Checked before you leave
Pressures set, the other three looked at, alignment advised if the old tyre wore unevenly.
Fitting Riken Tyres at Ber Street
Riken arrives for us from the Michelin group's European distribution, typically the next working day. Ring with the size on your sidewall and we will confirm and book the fitting.
A Riken goes on exactly as a Michelin or a part worn does: new valve or TPMS service kit, mounted without touching the rim, balanced on the computer wheel balancer, torqued by hand to the manufacturer's figure and the old tyre disposed of. Budget half an hour for one tyre and about an hour for four, with free parking and somewhere to wait. We are open seven days, 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
We are independent of every manufacturer, so the advice is about your car and your budget rather than a brand's quota. Riken where it fits; something better suited where it does not, shown on the EU label. Every fitting carries our 3-month / 3,000-mile guarantee.
Ask us to check the geometry when the Riken tyres go on if the old ones wore unevenly; a four-wheel alignment is cheaper than a second set of tyres. And bring a nail-in-tyre to us before assuming it is scrap, because a puncture repair is usually possible in the central tread.
