Hankook Tyres Norwich

Original-equipment supplier to several major carmakers, and the mid-range brand we recommend most often for value. Supplied and fitted at our Ber Street garage, seven days a week.

Hankook is the tyre we suggest most often when a driver wants most of a premium tyre's wet grip and wear life without the premium price. They supply original equipment to several European and Asian manufacturers, and a great many cars around Norwich left the factory on them.

The Hankook Range, and Who It Suits

The Ventus range is Hankook's performance line and the one you will find as original equipment on hot hatches and sports saloons, with the Ventus Prime and Ventus S1 evo covering everyday performance and ultra-high-performance respectively. Kinergy is the touring and eco family for family cars, built around low rolling resistance and long life, and Kinergy 4S is the all-season version with the three peak mountain snowflake marking. Dynapro covers SUVs and 4x4s, from road-biased HP patterns to all-terrain.

What sets Hankook apart in the mid-range is consistency. The label grades for wet grip and noise are usually close to the premium brands in the same size, and the tread life is reliably good, which is why it has become the default recommendation for a high-mileage A11 or A47 commuter who does not want to pay Michelin money every eighteen months.

Manufacturer-Approved Fitments

Hankook produce manufacturer-approved versions for several makes, marked on the sidewall. If your car came on an approved Hankook we will fit the matching specification rather than the standard version. Give us the registration or the markings on your current tyre and we will confirm the exact specification before anything is ordered.

Popular Hankook Sizes

The Hankook sizes Norwich drivers ask us for most are the common hatchback and crossover fitments. Each size below has its own page explaining which cars use it and what the codes mean:

Hankook and the EU Tyre Label

Mid-range brands such as Hankook are where the EU label matters most, because the best of them label within a grade of the premium names for noticeably less. Wet grip is the column to watch on Norfolk roads; we show you the label for the exact Hankook tyre in your size beside a premium and a budget option.

How Hankook Fitting Works Here

Call with your size

Or the registration. We quote premium to budget with the EU label for each.

Fitted the same day

New valve, computer balanced, torqued by hand, old tyre disposed of.

Checked before you leave

Pressures set, the other three looked at, alignment advised if the old tyre wore unevenly.

Fitting Hankook Tyres at Ber Street

Hankook sizes for family hatchbacks, saloons and SUVs are among the mid-range fitments we hold most often, so same-day is realistic on the common sizes. Ring with the size on your sidewall and we will confirm what is on the shelf.

The Hankook is mounted on the same machine and to the same standard as a premium tyre: rim inspected, new valve, tyre seated without lubricant on the bead that would let it creep, balanced to zero, wheel torqued by hand. Expect 20 to 30 minutes per tyre, an hour for four. Free parking, seven days a week, Sundays 10am to 4pm.

We are independent of every manufacturer, so the advice is about your car and your budget rather than a brand's quota. Hankook where it fits; something better suited where it does not, shown on the EU label. Every fitting carries our 3-month / 3,000-mile guarantee.

Two things we check while the car is on the ramp: the wear pattern on the tyres coming off, because feathering or inside-edge wear means the alignment needs setting before the new Hankook tyres go the same way, and whether the tyre actually needs replacing at all, because a nail in the tread is often a repair rather than a new tyre.

Are Hankook tyres any good?

Yes. Hankook is an original-equipment supplier to several major carmakers and consistently rates close to the premium brands on wet grip and noise for noticeably less money. For most family cars and commuters they are the value choice we recommend first.

Which Hankook tyre should I choose?

Kinergy for a family hatchback or saloon doing mostly commuting, Ventus for a performance car, Kinergy 4S if you want one all-season set for a Norfolk winter, and Dynapro on an SUV or 4x4. Tell us the car and the mileage and we will narrow it down.

We hold Hankook in the common car sizes and order the rest in, usually for the next working day. Call 07933 900901 with your size and we will tell you honestly whether it is today or tomorrow.

Is fitting included in the price of Hankook tyres?
