Tyre Fitting Open on Sunday in Norwich

A flat on Saturday night should not cost you Monday morning. We are open every Sunday 10am to 4pm at 100-106 Ber Street for tyres, punctures and balancing.

Most tyre shops in Norwich are closed on Sunday, which is exactly when the puncture you picked up on Saturday afternoon becomes a problem. We are open every Sunday from 10am to 4pm, and Sunday tyre work is a normal part of our week rather than an emergency call-out: puncture repairs, replacement tyres, wheel balancing and pressure checks for cars, vans, 4x4s and the caravans and motorhomes heading home from the Broads. Ring when we open so we can check your size, then come down to Ber Street where there is free parking on site.

What We Can Do on a Sunday

  • Puncture repairs to the BS AU 159 standard, usually while you wait.
  • Replacement tyres in the common sizes we hold in stock, fitted, balanced and with new valves.
  • Wheel balancing for a vibration that appeared on the Saturday drive.
  • Pressure and tread checks before a Sunday-evening motorway run, free of charge.
  • Van, 4x4, caravan and motorhome tyres where we have the size; ring first because the less common sizes are ordered rather than stocked.

The one honest limit is stock. Sunday is not a delivery day, so if your size is unusual and not on the shelf we cannot get it in until Monday. We will tell you that on the phone rather than when you arrive, and if the tyre is safe to drive on carefully we will say so.

The Saturday Night Flat: What to Do

If you have a puncture and the car is at home, do not drive on a tyre that is visibly flat; it will destroy the sidewall and turn a repair into a replacement. Use the space-saver or the inflation kit if you have one, or reinflate at a garage forecourt if the tyre is holding some air and drive gently to us. If the tyre has a nail or screw in it and is losing air slowly, leave the nail in: pulling it out lets the air go faster. Our flat tyre guide walks through it step by step. If you have no spare and the tyre is completely flat, your breakdown cover is the right call; they can bring the car to us.

Who Uses Us on Sundays

Shift workers from the hospital in Hellesdon who cannot get to a garage in the week; families back from a weekend on the coast with a caravan tyre that looked wrong on the A47; students at the UEA whose only free day is Sunday; tradespeople who need the van ready for Monday. One of our Google reviews is from a motorhome owner who called in on a Sunday with a puncture and was back on the road in a quarter of an hour, which is the standard we aim for.

Good to know

Are you open on Sundays? Yes, every Sunday 10am to 4pm at 100-106 Ber Street, Norwich, for tyre fitting, puncture repairs, balancing and quick checks. Call 07933 900901 when we open to confirm your size.

Beyond Tyres on a Sunday

Sunday is a lighter day in the workshop, so alongside tyres we can often look at a battery that struggled to start the car that morning, a warning light that came on over the weekend, or brakes that started squealing on Saturday. We cannot promise every repair on a Sunday because parts suppliers are closed, but a diagnosis and a quote ready for Monday is usually possible. Ring and ask.

Can I get a puncture repaired on a Sunday in Norwich?

Yes. Puncture repairs are one of the commonest Sunday jobs for us and are usually done while you wait, provided the damage is in the repairable area of the tread. If the tyre needs replacing and we have the size, we do that on Sunday too.

Common car sizes usually yes; unusual sizes, approved fitments and some van and 4x4 sizes are ordered in and cannot arrive on a Sunday. Ring with the size or registration and we will tell you straight away.

Do I need to book for Sunday?

No booking system, just a phone call. Ring when we open at 10am so we can confirm stock and tell you how busy the ramp is, then come down.

Can you fit a caravan or motorhome tyre on a Sunday?

If we have the size, yes, and we regularly do for outfits on their way home from the Broads and the coast. Call first with the size and load index.
