The Vredestein Range, and Who It Suits

Quatrac is the all-season family, available in standard, Pro (performance) and Pro EV versions, all carrying the three-peak mountain snowflake marking. Ultrac is the summer performance line, Sportrac the everyday summer tyre, Wintrac the winter range, and Comtrac covers vans. Vredestein has a long association with Italian design houses, which shows in the sidewalls, though it is the wet and cold performance that sells the tyres here.

Vredestein and the EU Tyre Label

The EU tyre label is the honest comparison between brands: wet grip A to E, rolling resistance A to E, and noise in decibels. Vredestein's road ranges are usually near the top of the first two, and on a car that does real miles the rolling-resistance grade shows up in fuel bills. Ask us for the label on the exact tyre and we will put it next to the alternatives.

Vredestein is a next-working-day order in most sizes, and the Quatrac in particular is worth ordering in October rather than during the first cold week of November. Call with the size or registration.

The Vredestein is mounted on the same machine and to the same standard as a premium tyre: rim inspected, new valve, tyre seated without lubricant on the bead that would let it creep, balanced to zero, wheel torqued by hand. Expect 20 to 30 minutes per tyre, an hour for four. Free parking, seven days a week, Sundays 10am to 4pm.

New tyres are a good moment for a four-wheel alignment if the old ones wore on one edge, and for a look at the other three tyres and the brakes while the wheels are off. If it is a nail rather than wear that brought you in, ask about a puncture repair first; it is often all the tyre needs.
