The Continental Range, and Who It Suits
PremiumContact is Continental's main road range for saloons and family cars, SportContact covers the performance end, and AllSeasonContact is the all-weather option. Across the range the design priority is consistent: shorter stopping distances, with wet braking treated as the headline engineering problem rather than an afterthought.
That focus suits British driving. Most of the year the limiting factor on a Norfolk road is not dry grip, it is how quickly the car stops on a wet surface with standing water and a cold tyre. Continental also appear as original equipment on a great many Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz models, so for the German cars we see regularly they are often simply the tyre the car was developed with.
Manufacturer-Approved Fitments
Continental produce manufacturer-approved versions carrying sidewall markings including AO for Audi, MO for Mercedes-Benz and the star for BMW. We check the marking on the tyre coming off before we order the one going on. Continental and the EU Tyre Label

Fitting Continental Tyres at Ber Street
Continental is a frequent original fitment on German cars, so for a VW, Audi, BMW or Mercedes we will check the sidewall for an approval marking first. Give us the registration and we will confirm the exact specification before ordering.
Allow half an hour for a single Continental and about an hour for a set. Every wheel is computer balanced, every nut is torqued to the maker's figure with a calibrated wrench, the valve or TPMS seal is renewed and the old tyre is disposed of properly. Wait in the waiting area or leave the car; parking is free. Open Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm, Sunday 10am to 4pm.
