The Dunlop Range, and Who It Suits

The Sport Maxx family is Dunlop's performance line and turns up as original equipment on a good number of German saloons and hot hatches; Sport BluResponse is the everyday tyre with a wet-grip and efficiency emphasis; Sport All Season carries the three-peak mountain snowflake for drivers who want one set through a Norfolk year; and the Winter Sport range covers dedicated winter fitments.

Dunlop has changed hands at group level in recent years and now sits within the Sumitomo Rubber group alongside Falken, which changes nothing about the tyres you can buy today but is worth knowing if you are matching an existing set. Every tyre sold in the UK carries an EU label grading wet grip, rolling resistance and external noise, and premium brands like Dunlop tend to sit at the top of the wet-grip and efficiency columns, which is what you are paying for. We show you the label for the exact Dunlop tyre in your size beside a mid-range and a budget option, so the difference is visible before you decide, not after.

How Dunlop Fitting Works Here

Fitting Dunlop Tyres at Ber Street

Dunlop is a next-working-day order for us in most sizes. Give us the size from your sidewall or the registration, and we will confirm the exact fitment and a slot; four tyres take around an hour once they are here.

Fitting is the same careful job whatever the badge: the wheel comes off, the old tyre is stripped, the rim is checked for damage, a new valve goes in, the Dunlop is mounted and balanced, and the wheel goes back on with a calibrated torque wrench rather than an air gun. One tyre takes around half an hour, a set about an hour. Free parking, a waiting area, and we are open seven days a week including Sunday 10am to 4pm.

We sell every brand and are paid by none of them, so if Dunlop is not the best fit for your car we will say so and show you what is, with the EU label for each option. Every fitting, whatever the brand, carries our 3-month / 3,000-mile workmanship guarantee.

Ask us to check the geometry when the Dunlop tyres go on if the old ones wore unevenly; a four-wheel alignment is cheaper than a second set of tyres. And bring a nail-in-tyre to us before assuming it is scrap, because a puncture repair is usually possible in the central tread.
