Servicing to the Nissan Schedule

Nissan's intervals are typically annual or around 12,500 miles (9,000 on some older diesels), with the CVT fluid on its own schedule that is often overlooked. We follow the schedule for your car with the correct oil, complete the inspection items, reset the reminder and update the record.

A Nissan under manufacturer warranty can be serviced by an independent garage without affecting that warranty, provided the manufacturer's schedule is followed and parts of the correct specification are used. That is how we work: the correct oil, OEM-specification or genuine parts, the service indicator reset and the record updated, with an itemised invoice that shows exactly what was done.

The Nissan Jobs We Do Most

• CVT (Xtronic) fluid service. The continuously variable automatic in Qashqai, X-Trail, Juke and Micra needs its fluid changed at the manufacturer interval with the exact Nissan-specification fluid. Missed changes are behind most of the judder, whine and slip complaints; see gearbox repair.
• Small petrol engines: the 1.2 turbocharged petrol in some Qashqais and Jukes has a known pattern of oil consumption and timing chain wear. Oil level checks between services and prompt diagnosis of a start-up rattle matter; see timing chain work.

Leaf and e-NV200

The Leaf still needs servicing: brakes freed because regeneration leaves them idle, cabin filter, battery and electronics coolant, tyres in the correct load rating, and the 12-volt battery that strands more Leaf owners than the traction battery.
